Next steps
Once you've signed up, viewed your credentials, made your first call and explored the endpoints (the checklist in your dashboard walks you through this), the next step is moving from your free trial to a live, paid integration. This page covers how to go live and your responsibilities once you are.
Before your free trial ends
- Your free trial uses real currency data when you sign up with an organization email, so you can build and test against production-quality rates.
- Your trial ends 7 days after you sign up. You can see the countdown in your dashboard.
- To keep access, subscribe to a plan before the trial ends. If a trial lapses without a plan, requests return
Free trial ended(error code 9) and are blocked until you subscribe.
From trial to live
- Build and test during the trial — authentication, the endpoints you need, error handling, rate-limit handling and conditional requests.
- Confirm the data types you need — historic, central bank, alternative source, live (minutely) and bid & ask. Some are add-ons or entitlements (see Data Plans).
- Estimate your monthly volume — each rate returned counts as one request. Pick a plan whose monthly allowance and refresh frequency fit your usage.
- Choose and subscribe to a plan — via Plans & Pricing in your dashboard. For Enterprise, contact sales.
- Add any add-ons or entitlements — Live rates, Alternative source rates, Central bank exchange & interest rates (Core), Bid & ask.
- Go live — your existing authentication keeps working unchanged: any API keys (Bearer) and your Username and Password (Basic). Only your allowance and refresh frequency update to your new plan, automatically.
- Monitor usage — track it any time with
account_info,X-RateRequest-*headers (for monthly usage), andX-RateLimit-*headers (for 15-minute throttle). Xe emails usage alerts at 75%, 90% and 100% of your monthly allowance.
